"THE EXHIBITIONIST"
the award winning book that takes you inside the world of Exhibitionism
* * *"THE EXHIBITIONIST" IS AN AWARD WINNING BOOK ON MODERN DAY EXHIBITIONISM OVER 300 PAGES IT IS THE DEFINITIVE BOOK ON THIS SUBJECT AND HERE'S HOW IT STARTED... * * *On Jan 17, 1995, I walked into a photocopy shop. Twenty minutes later I was sitting in the back of a police vehicle, being taken down to the police headquarters for questioning. Thus began my descent into a hell that culminated in a charge of exhibitionism and a trial by jury *I didn't like it. Nobody would. So I hired the best lawyer I could afford. Not content with that, I decided to take an active role in the trial process and learn everything I could about the law, indecent exposure and court procedure *I read everything I found on these subjects, I haunted the libraries, I haunted my lawyer who didn't take too kindly to me telling him how to run the case, I turned this subject inside out and poked into all the dark corners. What resulted was one hell of a ride - literally! *That "ride" is recounted in my book, The Exhibitionist *One of my first discoveries was that I was not alone. Mine was not some secret twisted perversion peculiar to myself and perhaps a few others. I could not claim such a distinction anymore. Mine was just a common, garden-variety act shared by countless numbers of otherwise normal, intelligent men who had wives and children and girlfriends and good jobs *And why should that interest you? For the simple reason that exhibitionism is the most pervasive sex crime in the West. Between 1950 and 1970 there were never less than 2,000 convictions a year in England and Wales alone. And this number represents only a fraction of the total because many, probably most, incidents are not reported
Despite this no one really understands the problem, or what to do about it

The Exhibitionist is a comprehensive book that examines all aspects of exhibitionism - from the law, to court procedure, to the different therapies available, to the psychology of the act and also to the different methodologies used by flashers
However the book is NOT just for exhibitionists. It is about the #1 sex crime and one that everybody should be informed about
And it is NOT a book for people who like to wave banners. It is NOT for people who want the death penalty for exhibitionists and it is NOT for people who want to legalise exhitibionism. It is for people who want to UNDERSTAND why intelligent, sociable and otherwise normal men do something apparently stupid, trivial and even criminal
That is the purpose of this book, to UNDERSTAND exhibitionism. We can wave banners later, when we know what we're talking about *The book examines the following topics
- What is exhibitionism? - it is not as easy to define as you may think
- Are nudists exhibitionists? - the answer may surprise you
- Why is streaking not exhibitionism?
- What do exhibitionists expect to achieve by exposing themselves? - a difficult question to answer
- How exactly do women react to indecent exposures?
- How do the general public view (!) exhibitionism?
- What do researchers and therapists say about exhibitionism?
- What kind of treatments do they use?
- What is their success rate?
- What do you do if you're caught?
- How do the courts handle exhibitionists?
- What does the law say on this subject?
- Do exhibitionists obtain sexual gratification from their act? You might be surprised by the answer
- What percentage of women are exhibitionists? Careful before you answer this one
- What is the phallic worship ritual?
- Is the ancient phallic worship ritual related in any way to modern day exhibitionism?
The book looks at these and many other issues connected to, dare I say it, the art of exhibitionism. At more than 300 well written pages, it is the most comprehensive book on this subject (it is in fact the only book on the subject!) *Q: Is exhibitionism an art?
Hell, I don't know. All I know is, exhibitionists are a creative lot, so the book examines their many different antics:
- Exposing using an overcoat
- Exposing from a car
- Exposing in parks
- Exposing from public toilets
- Exposing on the highways
- Exposing from the home
- Exposing while cross dressing
This book will expose(!) you to some surprising findings
* * *
Exhibitionists are not as a rule creepy degenerates who cannot build a relationship with women. On the contrary they are often men with above average IQs who have good jobs, as well as girlfriends or wives and children
What drives them to expose? You will be surprised at the answer *Another question the book looks at is: just how serious is the crime of exhibitionism?
Again, a difficult question, but an interesting one, and one which is covered in the book.
Further to that, while exhibitionism is undoubtedly classified as a crime, the book examines the subject of whether it is justifiably classified as a crime. A very strong case can be made that exhibitionism does not meet the criteria of a criminal offence. The book examines that aspect as well *So how much does it cost?
This book cost me a year of my life, and many thousands of dollars in legal fees. The cost to you is only $26; that puts you way in front
*
But the book is not just a bunch of theory; it is an experience. It takes you inside the world of the exhibitionist and that's an experience you won't get elsewhere. Online or off. And that really makes the book priceless, doesn't it? And I'm giving it to you for only $26. Crazy! Take it while you can, because I don't know how long I can keep this book on the market
I am not joking. I am not being melodramatic. I put myself at risk by publishing this book. Get it while can!

Please understand: you won't find this material anywhere else, except some of it, all in bits and pieces, all over the place. It would take you many months to find this information elsewhere - and some of it you simply will not find at all. Well, I've done the work for you; this book and the reports are the result of long extensive research. You'll find all the material in this one place
And if you're looking for a good read, this is it "The Exhibitionist" was shortlisted in one of Australia's most prestigious book competitions held by Varuna and featuring some of the top writers in this country
Shortlisted is the equivalent of winning, or at least being one of three winners. So the book is good. It has received numerous accolades

Here is a letter from Nick Hudson, managing director of Hudson Hawthorn Publishing (his words are in italics): We have taken the unusual step (for us, and most publishers) of enclosing our reports. We took this submission seriously, which puts it in the top 10%
Here is what the Hudson Hawthorn report says: Writing is good, very visual, and (the) theme is consistent. The story...is provocative. In this instance, he was too close to the fire and got his fingers burnt (but) when he sticks to the story, there is theatre
The Hudson Hawthorn report continues: Before I read this book, I would have said that an account of a trial for flashing by a self-confessed flasher would be pretty nauseous. That this one isn't, is in itself remarkable
The book (continues the Publisher's report) consists of a narrative, starting at the moment when police question the narrator on suspicion of indecent exposure and ending with a virtually verbatim account of his three court appearances. This narrative is enriched with flashbacks to his earlier life, including the episode in question, and with the results of his researches into the legal and psychological issues of exhibitionism
The narrative is very, very good. The scenes are beautifully recreated, the dialogue is crisp and the characters three dimensional. The voice is astonishingly relaxed and honest. The trial transcripts go on a bit, but make quite good reading. This is a superb bit of plotting
The flashbacks, too, are very good
The descriptions of his own mental processes and actions as a flasher are fascinating and informative
The research material is a mixed bag. Some of it is fascinating and essential to the argument of the book, but there is much that, however fascinating, is not relevant
Re the legal points: the author argues persuasively that the law is often ambiguous
This Hudson Hawthorn report concludes as follows: We emerge surprised that a book on such a distasteful topic can have been so readable, delighted by a lot of the straight narrative writing and enriched with some new information

Bert Hingley, publisher, Hale & Iremonger, wrote me a letter as follows: Thank you for sending us the first 36 pages of "The Exhibitionist". You certainly write well and so far it's a most intriguing manuscript. There is no doubt that "The Exhibitionist" makes for interesting reading
*
Louis de Vries from Hybrid Publishers says this: I found the (first) 60 pages quite gripping...you make out a persuasive case for a change in the law
Elsewhere de Vries writes: I found your work interesting, revealing, absorbing and well written. You have treated the material with gravity, perspective, allusiveness and flair. The ending succeeded in surprising me

Catherine Hammond, BS in Education (Boston); MA in English Literature and Writing (Boston); PhD in Philosophy (Fordham), and also an editor with Doubleday Australia and Millennium Books, said this about the book:
The book is a combination of five elements: 1 - Andrew's account in detail of events from the moment the police first approach him until after the completion of the trial 2 - flashbacks to other events in Andrew's earlier life 3 - the products of Andrew's extensive research into the workings of the Law and into the precedents regarding cases of indecent exposure 4 - Andrew's reflections and conclusions regarding both the way the western legal system works (or doesn't!) and the ambiguity of the offence known as indecent exposure 5 - selected quotations from philosophical, comparative religion and spiritual sources intended to support those conclusions
In general, (Catherine Hammond continues) I think the five elements are used effectively and blend well. A good rhythm is established between the 'dryer' research sections and the interest-grabbing autobiographical parts, between the historical cases and the on-the-spot reactions to present events as they unfold
I especially like the way that he interspersed his findings about discrimination, which had greatly excited him, with the let-down of his encounters with the Director of the Anti-Discrimination Board
This is excellent writing. He has the ability, by a good turn of phrase and an accurate eye for small detail, to put readers right into the picture, to see and feel what he feels as he goes from one person to another, one office to another
By not letting us know what's coming, and forcing us to wait until he himself 'gets there', he builds up tension and suspense, which serves the narrative well. This is especially evident in the video tape sessions. He also punctuates the story with genuinely surprising development, which make the reader think that any outcome is possible, that nothing can be assumed
Apart from the main subject, this book has the potential to interest readers as an eloquent commentary on contemporary society, not only because of its use of the writings of such seminal thinkers as Rollo May and Joseph Campbell, but also because of its powerful comparisons, such as those between the rituals of the Catholic Church and the 'rites' of the legal system. (I particularly enjoyed the description of the courtroom procedures in terms of altars, altar-boys, sacrificial victims, etc.)
The ending is well handled, giving a sense of completion - both for the author and his sufferings and for the findings of his research - with a nice literary touch
*Please understand, dear reader...These reports are not by some well-meaning aunties and uncles and best friends. They are by hardened publishers who read thousands of manuscripts each year and risk large sums of money on their judgment
If they say the book is good...it's good!
Will it become a classic in its field?
Undoubtedly!
And not just "in its field"
As Catherine Hammond says, "it is an eloquent commentary on contemporary society"
This is a book for everyone!
*
However, it is not for everyone...
IF YOU DO NOT WANT YOUR BELIEFS SHAKEN AND STIRRED, DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK!
* * *
The decision to publish was a tough one
Did I want the notoriety?
Did I want the possible social ostracism?
Did I want possible lawsuits?
Hell no!
But some things just have to be said
This book is real; it does not hide behind pseudonyms
It names names and places
And the possibility of lawsuits is also very real
So the question is...
How long will it stay on the market?
I don't know All I can say is get it while you can because the book may not be there tomorrow
Please be sure about this: I am leaving myself open to litigation. Apart from serious financial loss to myself, the courts may order me to remove the book from the marketplace, so I can only say, once again...get it while you can Tomorrow, it may not be there

BONUSES
In addition to the 300 plus page book
You will receive the following bonuses
BONUS 1 A fifteen page article on the ancient Phallic Worship ritual
This is a movement / cult / religion that virtually covered the face of the earth as far back as the Neolithic era. Vestiges of it still remain today and it is thought by some that there is a connection between the ancient phallic rituals and modern day exhibitionism (Parts of this article, as with the book, contain graphic descriptions, so be warned!)
The material for this article was very hard to come by and I am seriously considering selling it as a separate item, which I may do one day. But for the present you get it for free, with the purchase of the book
BONUS 2 A Phallic Worship Ritual A three page scriptural book excerpt recounting the (Indian) Supreme Lord displaying Himself. This comes free with the purchase of the book
BONUS 3 Interview with author
